After your Open Water class, continue your education with our Advanced Open Water Course.
Unlike most courses, this Advanced Open Water course combines five different specialties, all key to building your new diving skills, especially in the Monterey diving area.
Taking this multifaceted class will help you significantly in becoming a Master Diver, and at a very low price.
This course includes the following:
- Night Diving-- It is an unbelievable feeling to discover the mysteries held underwater when the sun goes down. With the right equipment and a powerful torch there is a lot to discover. Night diving is a whole new way to experience the underwater world.
- Boat Diving -- You will learn the right boat diving techniques, how to choose the right travel agency and diving operator when planning your vacation and what to consider when traveling.
- Advanced Navigation -- This program will teach you to navigate with a compass and how to apply natural navigation skills. You will also learn to estimate distances, navigate different search patterns, find your way to different marking points, and be able to get back to the exit point at any time.
- Deep Diving -- provides a safe introduction to deeper diving (60'-130'). We will discuss equipment, planning, and physiological considerations for conducting deeper dives
- Peak Performance Buoyancy -- Improving your buoyancy control skills is highly recommended. Every diver who wants to improve diving skills and at the same time wants to perform active environmental protection should take a perfect buoyancy course.
- One evening class focusing on theory and techniques, taught by Wallin's experienced and friendly instructors
- Five ocean dives: includes 3 shore dives and 2 boat dives.
Prior to starting the Advanced course you will need to have an Open Water Certification and be at least 12 years old.

- Adventures in Diving Manual
- Primary Light
- Back-up Light (Secondary)
- Tank Light (cyalume or battery operated)
- Compass
- Dive Tool
Before your ocean dives you will need your own personal snorkeling gear which includes a mask, snorkel, fins, boots and gloves. You will also need to have a PADI dive table and log book.
You may rent the rest of your SCUBA equipment if needed. This includes your wetsuit, hood, BC, Regulator with computer and tanks.
