Product Description
Explore pristine reefs, wrecks, and walls beyond 60 feet of depth.
Many of the best reefs, wrecks, and walls lie in deeper water where they are less exposed to damage from waves and surge, and from frequent diver traffic. Exotic species of marine life are also only found in deeper water. Divers who are trained and equipped for deeper diving can visit sites inaccessible to less experienced divers.
Wallin's Deep Diving specialty course provides a safe introduction to deeper diving (60'-130'). We will discuss equipment, planning, and physiological considerations for conducting deeper dives. The course consists of one classroom/pool session and two open water dives in Monterey at a shore diving site (to be determined based on conditions).
The class includes a two tank boat dive.
Prerequisite: Open water diver certification, cold water diving experience (at least one logged dive in Monterey or equivalent site). Students will be required to use basic scuba equipment, including a dive light and appropriate exposure protection for Monterey (full wetsuit, or, preferably, a drysuit). Dive computer recommended.
